Our contributors have provided important illustrations of how they work analytically with executives and in organizational settings. As the reader will note, complex organizational systems alter technique in important ways; yet, the underpinnings of our theory and clinical formulations are robust and vital. In these important ways, we analysts can provide leaders and organizations unique and substantive understandings and interventions to ameliorate leadership and organizational difficulties and enhance what is working well. For the psychoanalytically informed consultant, this is wonderfully energizing professional work. One can frequently see the results of positive psychoanalytic efforts as evidenced in the increased functioning of executives, how they impact the employees around them—and on the organization's financial bottom line.
