I make a number of observations about what can be learned from the concordance and the differences that exist between an enactive theory of perception in cognitive science and in philosophy of mind, the metapsychology of perception that can be drawn from Freud’s Project and Laplanche’s theory of generalized seduction. Through this parallel between the three domains, I uphold the notion of actual time as representing the timeframe of enactive cognition as it happens in the analytic session, more specifically within the transference.
