There are people who suffer excruciating, relentless emptiness with no relief yet express it in full, imaginative ways that touch others but not themselves. There appears to be an expressive capacity that communicates agonistic deadness in alive, moving ways. Others feel this living communication unable to realize the subject’s loss of feeling. Are there inaccessible bits of spirit or is the subject’s negative, destructive emptiness endless - or some other unknown alternative entirely. This paper tries to explore aspects of this aporia moment to moment respecting complex dimensions of human experience.
