Joe’s generativity and grace is widely known. What’s been unknown is the graceful story of Joe’s succession plan for Psychoanalytic Inquiry as he became 94. This contribution tells the unique story of Joe’s creation of an Arc of Generativity when he united his withdrawal as Editor with his usual hand up to the younger generation.
