Psychoanalytic Perspectives, as part of its founding mission, is committed to finding and publishing scholarly papers by first-time writers. These “new voices” are authors who may be senior clinicians or candidates in training at any one of the many psychoanalytic institutes nationwide. What they all have in common is that they are being published in a scholarly psychoanalytic journal for the first time.
In this issue, we are delighted to be publishing a thoughtful and provocative paper by a new voice, Marc A. Sholes, L.C.S.W. We hope you enjoy his paper and the follow-up discussion by Eric Mendelsohn, Ph.D., whose papers have been published in Contemporary Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Dialogues.
