One of the rewards of editing the Creative Literary section is reading the wonderfulpoetry that has been submitted from all over the world. Poems have come from students, patients, therapists, and other sensitive observers of our human experience.
In this issue we will be looking at memories of childhood from three poets: Salita S. Bryant, Rosanne Taylor, and Amy Allara. Each of these writers captures the powerful emotions of youth through poetic form. For some, memories of childhood are a time of sounds and smells and images of carefree innocence and simple fun; yet for others, growing up can be a time of dark hours, scary shadows, and harrowing obstacles.
Within these important years of early development lie some of the sacred spaces that therapists visit with their patients. Not only do these years form one's identity, but they also nurture one's creative spirit.
