In an introductory essay in Psychoanalytic Perspectives to a paper and discussions on therapist and analyst sexual experiencing in the treatment relationship, I noted the limited number of scholarly articles dealing with this issue (Slavin, 2019). By chance, I learned soon after publication that an extraordinary article by Helene G. Russ on that specific subject that I had been familiar with in draft form more than 20 years ago had in fact been published and had not been cited in my comments (Russ, 1999).

In the interest of reasonable scholarly integrity, I would like to correct that record and note that article here. It is worth the reading of anyone studying this subject and the psychoanalytic audience in general.
