Abstract

My commentary reflects on the contributions from a conference about the 2nd edition of the Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual (PDM-2). I emphasize the distinctiveness of the PDM-2 as a diagnostic manual and discuss future directions for its use, development, and success.
