This paper describes the author's work, as a professional writer currently working as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, with a group of ten psychotic patients at a psychiatric hospital. She links the writing activity of her group with psychoanalytic ideas about creativity, illustrating these ideas with vignettes from her observation of some of the individuals in the group.
