Would you like to write a book review for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy?
If you would like to know more about the process of writing a book review, I will be running two short introductory sessions (online) towards the end of the year. Book reviewing offers an opportunity to engage with recent publications, and to do some writing with editorial support and feedback. It is helpful for the journal to have a broad and diverse range of reviewers, from different backgrounds and with different levels of professional experience. Reviews can be as short as 600 words, and I am keen to support new (and more experienced!) reviewers, e.g. discussing book choices and preliminary thoughts, and offering feedback on early drafts.
These sessions will be a chance to hear more about the process of writing a review, and to ask any questions. Attendance does not imply any commitment to writing a review! Feel free to join the session and see what you think.
If you would like to attend one of these sessions, please get in touch with me at and I will send you more information and dates.
Please contact the Book Reviews Editor, Rachel Hodgins, at if you would like to review one of these books, or if you would like to suggest a review or review essay for a book (or film, play, or event) that is not on this list.
