This is one of those unusual personal documents written by a woman who had been through a prolonged period of mental illness and setting forth her experiences during that time. It is very well done and very interesting reading, and is the sort of book one wishes might fall into the hands of that great multitude that know so much that is not so about mental disease, and for whom it would serve to emphasize those human values which appear to be almost wholly lost sight of in the traditional attitude toward so-called insanity.
