This well known monograph which consists of the five essays given by Professor Freud on the occasion of the 20 year foundation anniversary of the Clark University, Worcester, Mass., in 1909, has been reviewed many times since its original appearance. It will, therefore, suffice to remark that this, the eighth edition, is unchanged and denotes its continued success. The essays present Freud's original ideas which served to construct the background of the psychoanalytic movement, and are therefore of historical significance.
