This book by the Groves is written in their usual straightforward, frank, clear-cut style, and sets forth the subject matter as indicated in the title in a way which it is very difficult to see how it could be otherwise than most useful to those to whom it is addressed. Most of the usual and to the specialist rather threadbare questions bearing upon this matter are discussed openly. There are particularly good chapters upon the art of love, about which one sees very little despite the fact of its able introduction into our literature by Havelock Ellis many years ago, and there is a good chapter on birth control, which hits the usual high spots. The book of course does not pretend in any sense to be original but to be helpful to a certain audience. It seems to fulfill these requirements and may be recommended for that purpose.
