This work by C. K. Ogden, who is known perhaps more particularly because of his interest in and exploitation of basic English, is an exemination into the writings and doctrines of Bentham, particularly with reference to his Theory of Fictions, showing how he anticipated a century and a half ago the entire groundwork of the Philosophy of “As If.” It is a learned discussion and piece of research work on the subject of fictions.
