This work was written under the peculiar circumstances of a trip around the world which followed the author's leaving Germany for political purposes. He records how he was received apparently with Open arms wherever he went, and gave innumerable lectures on sexology, the subject with which his name has been connected these many years. (It will be remembered that he was the head of the Institute of Sexology in Berlin and for many years the Editor of the Jahrbiicher fiir sexuclle Zwischenstufen.) In between his comments in his chosen field of sexology which he makes apropos of the various peoples and countries which he visited are interesting observations of various sorts bearing Upon political, economic, social and ethnological aspects of various situations as he saw them, more particularly with respect to the Jewish question, especially as it is represented by the Zionist Movement. He visited in the latter part of his journey the Holy Land and he has much to say about the way this movement has succeeded there.
The book is interestingly and entertainingly written and contains a considerable amount of information of various sorts, of course as interpreted by the author.
