An outstanding work on the autonomic nervous system, revised from the first edition with additions to take care of the advances that have been made in this department since. The book deals in its first fifteen chapters with the autonomic innervation of the various organs and systems, with an introduction covering the general anatomy of the autonomic nervous system. Following this there are chapters on pathology, visceral sensitivity and referred pain, autonomic imbalance, disease, and surgery of the autonomic nervous system. It is an excellent and detailed presentation of this field of some 697 pages well but not profusely illustrated, and supplied with a very generous bibliography to each chapter.
