A somewhat unusual and a very useful book. It discusses a hundred and one of the technical aspects of psychoanalysis: who should be analyzed, by whom they should be analyzed, the relation of the family physician and of the wives and husbands and sons and daughters and various members of the family in the situation, the emergencies that happen during a psychoanalysis, the obstacles that get in its way, how to deal with them, etc., etc. A book the general contents of which are known to all practicing psychoanalysts but which is exceedingly informative to those people who think they know a great deal about psychoanalysis but really have had no experience with it and know nothing about it.
