This year's Almanach der Psychoanalyse is rich in stimulating, informing and compelling short contributions maintaining the high standards of its predecessors.
We cannot mention all of the twenty papers. Freud leads with two delightful articles on Moses as an Egyptian, and also his paper on finished
and unfinished analyses. Menninger writes on Psychiatry and Medicine, Alexander on Psychoanalysis and Social Problems, closely followed by Schilder's discussion of the analogies and homologies of individual and social disorganization.
A posthumous paper of Ferenczi deals with Psychoanalysis and Criminology. Interesting are the offerings by Meng, Glover, Pichon, Bornstein-Windholz, and Aichorn, all dealing with matters of pedagogic significance. Wittels writes on the Libidinous Structure of the Criminal Psychopath, and there are several others. To the reviewer Christoffel's calling attention to Maudsley's intuitions of unconscious processes is particularly gratifying since he found the way to Freud prepared by this psychiatrist's true insight.
The whole collection is noteworthy and lack of space alone prevents a more detailed discussion of this admirable collection.
