The heroine of this detective story dreams of the murder of which she has been accused, and for which she has been tried and acquitted, but with two differing dreams. One night she sees herself innocently leaving the scene before the crime is committed, while on another night she sees herself commit the murder. She is unable to determine whether she is innocent or guilty, and consults a psychoanalyst who is unfortunately baffled by the dreams, as perhaps any analyst would be, but by various means succeeds in unraveling the mystery.
A further psychiatric touch appears in the character of a man mentally unbalanced who attempts by suggestion to persuade his putative sister that she herself is insane. The whole combination makes only a moderately entertaining mystery story.
