The works of Hirschfeld are well known in the psychiatric field. The reappearance of a new edition serves a useful purpose, making much material of value easily available to younger psychiatrists and psychologists. It seems that sex about which there has been so much hubbub, still requires so much elucidation. There are many phenomena that have been hardly touched by scientific investigation.
