This treatise on human culture consists of three parts. The first presents the elements, the theory and the types of societal organization, the second gives examples of the early and the advanced cultures, and the third the “treatment of culture”. The book constitutes a most thorough analysis of society and its problems by a student of the several disciplines engaged in this field. It is unique in many respects and offers a fresh approach to the whole subject represented by the sociobiologic sciences. Instructors will find it valuable for their purposes.
