This latest edition of Ranson's always brilliant text has been revised by Dr. Clark, professor of Anatomy at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville. Dr. Clark has introduced certain changes in the order of presentation and has added some new material together with some rewriting of the basic text. He has shifted the sequence of material particularly in dealing with the collection of gross descriptive anatomy which is now in one section. The chapters dealing with reflexes and reflex arcs and the section on clinical illustrations have been rewritten to some degree and also have been rearranged. A new set of illustrations made from parasagital sections has been introduced and is of excellent value. The illustrations, as in the previous editions, are outstanding and serve as a sort of supplementary atlas to complete the well written and understandable text. Dr. Clark, in revising the book, has carried on in the tradition of the original author and has presented a new edition which is in every way as outstanding as the original work.
