This volume is one in the series of books comprised of memorial lectures delivered annually by an outstanding psychiatrist in honor of Dr. Thomas W. Salmon who died in 1927 after a life unusually active and productive in the field of mental hygiene. In the present book Dr. Levy has related a most interesting story of the development of a new psychiatric era through much of which he has lived and participated. He points up and reviews problems in child guidance, delinquency, pedagogic psychiatry, industrial psychiatry, military aspects and new and old situations in the political field that require psychological analysis. His sample case study by a special technique in political psychiatry is extremely interesting and informative. As a book in the advance guard of psychiatric thought it should be read by all workers desiring this type of perspective.
