This book consists of a collection of nine articles which were contributed by a number of dermatologists and chemists and is edited by M. Fishbein who also has written the last chapter on the medical uses of soap.
The information is presented in a simple and clear manner and should be of considerable interest and value to the physician and even to the laity. A perusal of this little book will enable one not only to use the various soaps and detergents more intelligently but also help one to evaluate the claims made for a large variety of these products. A list of references is given at the end of each chapter for those who are interested in consulting original sources for additional information.
