The derivation of the title of this book is not clear to the reviewer. Essentially the volume presents the author's philosophy of medicine and its relation to ethics, morals and religion. Those who subscribed to his Catholic viewpoint will find little in the work to reinforce their views. Those, who like the present reviewer, are of a different cast of mind, will not find the work, in any way, convincing or persuasive. There is, in short, very little in the book to recommend it. [D.
