This book is an excellent and compact review of basic research in the fields of sensation and perception, learning, neuropsychology and intellectual processes. The author has selected certain crucial experiments in each of these areas, and concisely states those propositions which the weight of evidence tends to support. He has chosen to omit consideration of the methods and data in the fields of social psychology and personality, regarding them as infant disciplines. Although the approach is stated to be that of a biologist, the emphasis is upon neural functions with unfortunately little information with regard to biochemical regulations.
