The author presents a comprehensive survey of the principles of graphology as they are understood today and offers a system of handwriting analysis that should aid in the study of personality types.
In the introduction, one finds a delineation of the different schools of thought and practice. Part I takes up the stages of development of handwriting in the individual from the early scribblings on through to the particular adult pattern characteristic or style of the person's script, and Part II is devoted to analysis and interpretation methods.
The methods, training, ethics and practical applications of graphology in the clinical disciplines are all given due consideration. Nearly 400 handwriting samples, each reproduced in its original size, amplify the text. Four cases are given in detail to demonstrate the practical application in the study of personality. A useful bibliography is included.
Teachers, psychologists and psychiatrists will find much to stimulate their interest in this book. It is one of the best of its kind.
