I thought it might be of interest to readers of the Review to pursue further the exploration of the article “Toward a Unitary Theory on the Passing of the Oedipal Conflict” by David B. Friedman in the Spring issue by referring to a paper entitled “Beyond the Oedipus Complex” by Carlos J. Dalmau in Archives of Criminal Psycho-dynamics, Vol. I, No. 1, Winter 1955, in which similar dynamics lead the author to suggest similar conclusions, though perhaps slightly more fully.
