This manual of simple dialogues between a therapist and a patient focuses on the inner world and what may have gone awry there. It is intended primarily for a lay audience and translates, in easily understandable, straightforward prose, the meanings and consequences of psychoanalytical theoretical constructs. This little book is like instant psychotherapy. Elizabeth Thorne calls it “a simple but profound road map to inner freedom.” Her conclusions are also mine as she continues, “It is the book I will give my patients to read when they ask, “But how can I change my life?”
