After more than a decade of feminist debate ranging from the sober to the strident, Women and Psychotherapy, a review of current research and of important theoretical and clinical issues, makes a valuable contribution in this area. This volume, based on an American Psychological Association project supported by the National Institute of Mental Health, brings together the work of a distinguished group of contributing authors. The book is organized around five key topic areas: gender differences in research, disorders of high prevalence, crisis intervention, traditional therapeutic approaches, alternative therapeutic approaches.
