Alan J. Barnett, Phd, editor of The Psychoanalytic Review, is a member of the Faculty and a Training and Supervising Analyst at NPAP. He is also a member of the editorial board of Psychoanalytic Inquiry. Dr. Barnett is a clinical psychologist and analyst in private practice in New York City.

Jonathan Dunn, Phd, is a faculty member and Training and Supervising Analyst at The San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis (SFCP). Since 1995, Dr. Dunn has taught courses at SFCP on psychoanalytic theory and theories of clinical technique, as well as on psychoanalytic process and validation, and at the California Pacific Medical Center Department of Psychiatry and the Extension Division of Adult Education at Stanford University. He has published articles on Freud's instinct theory and on comparative studies of “classical” psychoanalysis and relational/intersubjectivity theories for the International Journal of Psychoanalysis ( and ), the latter article being chosen by the Livro Anual de Psicanálise as one of the top 19 published psychoanalytic papers in 1995. His article “The Foundational Wisdom in Freud's and Loewald's Metapsychology” won the 2009 Phyllis Meadow award for excellence in psychoanalytic writing, sponsored by the Center for Modern Psychoanalysis. Dr. Dunn's paper “The Two Mental Orientations of Psychoanalysis and the Dialectical Experience of Transference” was chosen by the Paris Psychoanalytic Society for its 2011 special edition, which represented contemporary trends in North American psychoanalysis.

Morris N.
