Fantasmorphoses and Hybrid Becomings of Identities

Clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst, and professor and research director at the University of Paris; as teacher and researcher, he is attached to the Research in Psychopathology doctoral school (ED450) and to the Center for Research in Psychoanalysis, Medicine, and Society (CRPMS) laboratory of the University of Paris. He is a member of the Collège International de l'Adolescence and of the reading committee of the revue Adolescence. His scientific activities are primarily focused on the field of the treatment of adolescents. While publishing many articles on the theme of adolescence, he has co-directed three volumes of Tourment adolescent [Adolescent Torment], published by Presses Universitaires de France (PUF); these three volumes offer a survey of psychoanalytical research on the adolescent processes. The issue of eating disorders is another of his research interests, with a particular emphasis on the differences between masculine anorexia and feminine anorexia, his most recent research being devoted to the study of masculine anorexia. As shown by his most recent book Pulsions rock [Drives Rock], published by PUF in 2019, his analysis of rock and rap cultures has led him to formalize and highlight the virtues of performative sublimation.
