Les: I've been thinking prayer helps whether there is a God or not. It touches deep places that need touch. I can feel insides hungry for touch. Maybe just light touch like a soft breeze. A sweet firm touch might do too. I'll have to experiment. It feels like something new, but I think it's been there a long time. Maybe since breathing, maybe before, rhythms of heart, pulse, something with no name.
Mike: A deep healing dimension.
Les: Dreams beyond categories. I wanted to say realms beyond categories but dreams came out.
[Les is quiet for a while, then starts talking about dreams and destruction.] So many dreams are threatening, menacing. You know what? I think some of the stories about God killing thousands of angels are like bad dreams.
Mike: Why did God kill so many angels? Did he kill them because they were bad?
Les: He killed them when they disagreed with him. Not bad or good—just because they disagreed.
Mike: They had an opinion of their own? You get punished for disagreeing with God?
Les: You get punished for your own thoughts. Your own thoughts punish you. Your own dreams punish you. It's not fair.
Mike: It doesn't sound fair at all. What do you think is going on?
Les: It can be very dangerous when people disagree. Disagreements can lead to fights, wars.
