With this issue of The Psychoanalytic Review, I will retire from my position as editor, which I was asked to assume on a temporary basis, after the death of Tony Pipolo, in order to facilitate the publication of the September and December issues. Aleksandra Wagner will then serve as interim editor until 2025, beginning with March 2024 issue. Dr. Wagner brings energy, intelligence, and a deep commitment to the role of Editor, all of which promises to continue the high quality of journalism set by Tony Pipolo, our previous editor, and those before him.
The Psychoanalytic Review's beginnings stretch back to 1913. It is the oldest English-language psychoanalytic journal in the U.S., continuously published since then, with a justified reputation for high quality. It is a journal that all who have been associated with it, from individual Editors to the editors who manage its publication at Guilford Press, can be justly proud of. We wish Aleksandra Wagner well in this role.
