With the third volume of our series in psychoanalytic self psychology, we join a new publisher and adopt a revised format. Our introduction for this book is written by Dr. James L. Fosshage, and future volumes will be introduced by various members of the community of self psychology. The articles in the collection have been gathered from a wide field of contributors after careful evaluation by our editorial board. We hope that we have been able to live up to the spirit of continued progress in the field.
