We are very pleased to present the following ten articles, originally presented at the 2013 National Conference of the American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work (AAPCSW). These articles were competitively selected through an anonymous peer review process that began shortly after the conclusion of the conference. Because there were so many papers to review, we augmented our existing editorial board with the addition of ten members of the AAPCSW, who were invited to serve in this editorial capacity for the Special Issue. We are grateful to these individuals for their time and helpful editorial recommendations, and wish to acknowledge them here: Samoan Barish, Joan Berzoff, Rosalyn Benitez-Bloch, Gail DeLyser, Joyce Edward, Masayo Isono-Ragins, Kim Sarasohn, Anne Segall, Sue Sherman, and Diana Siskind. The articles that comprise this Special Issue address a wide range of clinical and theoretical topics and themes, including eating disorders, gender dysphoria, the mourning process, visual disability, child treatment, dream work, and more. We hope you will find them to be as thought-provoking, insightful, and informative as we did.
