The starting point of this article is Gece Hayatım (My Night Life) by Adalet Ağaoğlu, one of the contemporary founders of Turkish literature. Gece Hayatım (My Night Life) includes Ağaoğlu's dreams, as well as her reflections on dreams and fantasied creation. As the numbering in the heading implies, this article was originally intended to be the first in a series of articles on the main theme of “problematic of creation” (which would be based on dreams, tales, plays and phantasies), but it later evolved into a book which centered on Ağaoğlu's trilogy Dar Zamanlar (In Distress)together with her other books: Hayal, Hakikat, Yaratı / ‘Adalet Ağaoğlu ve Roman Dünyasına Psikanalitik Duyarlıklı Bir Bakış’ (Imagination, Truth, Creation / ‘A Psychoanalytically Sensitive Look into Adalet Ağaoğlu and Her World in Her Novels’) (Bağlam, and ). This book constituted the prototype of Halûk Sunat's “psychoanalytically sensitive look (an ‘aesthetic-poetic’ look) into literary text,” and it was followed by a similar book on Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, one of the predecessors of Ağaoğlu: Boşluğa Açılan Kapı / ‘Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar ve Yapıtlarına Psikanalitik Duyarlıklı Bir Bakış’ (Door to the Void/ ‘A Psychoanalytically Sensitive Look into Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar and His Works’ . Sunat's essays/critiques on the ‘problematic of creation’ were later compiled in three collections: İmgenin Tılsımlı Rüzgârı (The Talismanic Wind of the Image) , ‘Psikanalitik Duyarlıklı Bakışla’ Romanları Yaşamak (Living the Novels through a Psychoanalytically Sensitive Look) , and ‘Psikanalitik Duyarlıklı Bakışla’ Yaratıcı Tavır (Creative Behaviour through a Psychoanalytically Sensitive Look) .**
