The author presents the life and work of the French psychoanalyst Paul Claude Racamier . Paul-Claude Racamier is a French psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who has worked extensively in the domain of psychoanalysis of the psychotic states. He insisted on the institutional care of critically ill patients, and he created a day hospital “La Velotte” for them. Racamier has a very original approach and has developed several psychoanalytic concepts. Here we translate one of his important articles “The ego wounds and narcissistic seduction.”
