What is the enigmatic process that gives music its power, power to make swing the human soul from one state of feeling to another? Especially if this movement contains both pleasure and pain. In our effort to find an answer to this question, it is probably best to look upon both the music's content and its form. The music's form is like an Esperanto of feelings, as claims Theodor Reik. An Esperanto of what was not able to be put in words. This approach brings us to Freud's concept of figurability, developed later by the Botellas, who added the concept of regrediant images.
Anzieu claims that the bath of sounds is the first psychic space through which the baby is able to enter the illusional sphere, the most important road to creativity. The voice of the mother, her songs, and her lullabies enable her to adapt her inner world to her baby's needs. Baby and mother, they join together in those moments where the music and the rhythm of their bodies move in synchrony. The music created is both known and unknown, those we know from somewhere without being able to tell from where. A haunting melody popping out from lost times.
