In order to evaluate and make perfect the analytical apparatus, it would be very beneficial to link together what is at issue in analysis and what comes up in the dream. However the dream work here is not what Freud has defined as the censorship that comes forth between what is seen in the dream and the way it is narrated; it is the formation of the dream by the residues of the day, unconscious formations and childhood memories.
