Totem and Taboo was about the lives of savages and their link to childhood neurosis. It also included Freud's thoughts about mourning. Recent archaeological findings at Göbekli Tepe show us how humans at Stone Age built their sanctuaries 11.000 years ago. Dozens of anthropomorphic T shaped megaliths could symbolize lost leaders and hunters found at the site. Various illustrations figure on them, which are about wild animals from Anatolia. The illustrations could demonstrate the usage of tattoos, which have similar psychic functions as totemic sculptures and illustrations on them. Among these psychic mechanisms, mourning process has a special place. As the relations between hunters and preys, humankind had to mentalize concepts of death, afterlife and soul, all of which contain aggressive elements. Through this creative psychic work ego functions of the individual had developed and the foundation of social life had gained a construction that could proceed in time.
