In this presentation Silvia Resnizky includes ideas from two of the chapters, namely “The Fraternal Dimension” and “Among Psychoanalysts” of the book Clinical Devices in Psychoanalysis written by her in co-authorship with Susana Mauer and Sara Moscona, published in 2014 in Buenos Aires. There are mainly two aims in her essay; first to shed a light on the fraternal dimension or the fraternal complex, as described by Kancyper, and the way it can be worked or used clinically, and second to highlight peer group support as a psychoanalytic tool in the developmental process of becoming and remaining an analyst.
