Following Ferenczi's death, some notes and short fragments possibly to be worked on later and transformed into publications were discovered among his articles. Here we publish some of the notes we have selected from Ferenczi's latest period during which he focused more on the relationship between trauma and psychoanalysis, which we believe are especially related to the concept of trauma. The translated pieces were taken from ‘Notes and Fragments [1930-32]’ chapter in Ferenczi's Final Contributions to the Problems and Methods of Psychoanalysis. Ferenczi has played a pioneering role in returning the concept of trauma to psychoanalysis in a relatively different context, and these notes can contribute to a deeper understanding of his ideas.
