The interpretation in psychoanalysis is a quite complicated issue. When and how much the interpretation must be made? Was the interpretation technique changed or kept as the essential feature Freud proposed in The Interpretation of Dreams? Do different psychoanalytic ecoles propose quite different interpretation techniques? What is the role and importance of analyst's interpretation in the psychic field that analyst-analysand couple tries to reconstruct together for analysand? If the interpretation is the analyst's words, are his/her words certainly needed or is the analyst's existence in the analytic field enough? These questions are tried to be answered as much as possible and the article tries to review the function and importance of interpretation in psycho- analytic process.
