This article reviews the importance of childhood experiences in dreams from a psychoanalytic perspective. The childhood source of wish fulfillment represented in the dream is astonishing. The deeper a dream is analyzed, the further traces of childhood experiences that play a role among the origins of latent dream contents are reached. In the dream, while one wish-fulfillment may conceal another, the infantile wish is maintained in the lowest stratum. The relevant contributions of Didier Anzieu are also reviewed and his interpretations related to the mother's body and the body image in every dream is emphasized.
