Few have heard about the events that had been unfolded in Pitesti. A massacre took place in Piteshti, Romania, in late 1940s. Many prisoners, as M.X. did, lost their sense of reality or they were very close to lose it. What saved M.X. was the relation and communication he established with a cockroach roaming in his prison cell. The cockroach's existence became the Other which is possible to establish a relation with and therefore made it possible for the subject to wake up again, allowed the phantasy area to be reactivated and to re-experience a pleasure around the impulse.
