This paper discusses how artificial intelligence (AI) can be handled in the light of psychoanalytic theory. The ability of AI to mimic the human mind is investigated using the concepts of conscious and unconscious. In addition, it explores how to represent AI's mental processes using Freud's structural model (id, ego, and superego). Besides the impact of AI on the human quest for immortality and the complex relationship with technology are considered, as well as the psychological consequences of this predicament.
