Dear Friends:
As Vienna has changed its day to Thursday, the day chosen for London, I had better change to Tuesday so as to preserve an even distribution.2
(1). At the annual Business meeting of our society last night the recommendations noted in (1) of my last letter were adopted. In the secret ballot for the re-election of associate members3 Dr. Jago4 was black-balled by two votes and so was not re-elected5; it is perhaps unfortunate, for although he had no good character, he was seriously working at psa. and is now being analysed by Flügel. I expounded the financial state of the Press, which produced some consternation, and it was agreed to have a general meeting next Friday chiefly taken up with a discussion of what can be done to remedy matters; we shall surely get some subscriptions, but I don't know how much.
(2) To Prof. Freud. The meeting was consulted as to their views about the assistant editors and I was asked to transmit them to you, a unanimous vote for Bryan and Flügel, with which I fully agree and therefore commend to you.6
