Dear Friends:
My letter of Jan. 21 was wrongly numbered L. 2 instead of 3.
Budapest: We all, I am sure, sympathise with your sentiments about Toni v. Freund, and condole especially with you, my dear Ferenczi, at the absence of such a good friend.
I have sent you the Nov. number of the Proceedings of the S.P.R. containing the telepathy communications, and hope it has arrived safely. The Lévy matter is also attended to some time ago, and I have written to him explaining the delay.
I agree with you about selling Kolnai's book to another firm, and should like to hear from Rank what are his objections to doing this. I should like to see the Canadian cuttings you speak of, and suppose they will go the round.
I note the Congress vote of your group. Oberholzer tells me he fully expects a large majority of the Swiss group will vote likewise, but have not yet met. From Holland nothing as yet.
Berlin. To begin with, my congratulations to Abraham on his novel and interesting contribution on the number three. I cannot yet confirm it from my analyses, but it occurs to me that your discovery may throw light on the fact that the triangle three is sometimes female and sometimes male, both when opposed (as in the Hexalpha2, Solomon's seal3, etc) and when interwoven (e.g. the shield of David4) - though it is true that in these cases the hollow containing form of the triangle is a determining factor. I am assuming that the symbolism in Abraham's sense is female (Jekels: shape of the organ). Of course you will publish your note in the Z.
