Dear Friends:
The Berlin letter is not to hand. I should like another copy if possible, for it looks as if it were lost. Till now my files are quite complete. I enclose for Budapest a copy of my letter of Jan. 11th and hope that the later ones arrived safely.
Forsyth2 has just published a readable little book on the Technique of Psa. It is mostly good and well written, but is elementary and shows no good understanding of the more difficult problems.3 I wrote to him congratulating him and also inviting him to rejoin us. There was no reply for six days, then came a polite note indicating that he would have nothing to do with the Society so long as I am in my present position; at least it needs little interpretation to conclude this from what he says. I enclose the letters to Professor and also a review I have written of the book.
Dr Mourgue, editor of L'Encéphale4, has left Paris for an asylum in the Dordogne. He has asked me for a certain bibliography and I forwarded his letter to Reik5 as Zentralstelle. He is in touch with Payot6 and is evidently keenly interested in Psa.
Stekel's books are being translated in large numbers and is enjoying a considerable vogue, especially in America but also here. People are especially attracted by his modesty! He has found the catchword that a dwarf on a giant's shoulders sees further than the giant.
The Leonardo and Gradiva are both on the market. The former is sold to the medical profession only (lest artists be contaminated!), Kegan Paul behaving like the proverbial burnt child after their experience with the Autobiography.
